Are you REALLY allergic to that?

You know what? If you don't like something just say you don't like it. I don't for a minute buy that your ass is allergic to fucking celery. I almost want to put celery in your food just to prove that you are not allergic to it. It happens all the time. As usual, it almost always a woman. God, I hate women. She will sit down and look at the freaking menu for about a dozen years and finally order something but has to have this on the side and leave this out but instead put extra this. Some bitch tells me she is allergic to cole slaw. No one is allergic to cole slaw. If you don't want it on the side of your plate (and who does?) just tell me. I don't need some bullshit lie. Next time I am going to ask for a doctor's note when some lady tells me she'll break out in hives if mayo gets anywhere near her plate.

Celery, cole slaw and mayo...Uh okay.

I have food allergies and if that particular food is cooked with that ingrident I order something else. Why make a big deal and lie.

Mayo contains eggs... she could be allergic to eggs maybe? I'm allergic to almonds but I won't order something with almonds and ask for the almonds to be left out. That's just annoying and stupid.

Show me someone, anywhere, any time, who has experienced any adverse effect as a result of ingesting any food of any kind. I guess it must have happened, but in 20 years in the business, I have never seen or heard of it happening ever. Obviously, I have not seen it all, but neither have I seen anything to suggest to me that this is a serious problem ... Oh, and don't ever assume that anyone knows what your "problem" is. Peanuts are food, not poison. Get over yourself, wusssies.

I have an advanced case of Celiac Disease and anything with gluten gives me hours of sickness, pain, diarrhea, and other nasty symptoms. But it takes long enough to get to my intestines, so it is not an "immediate" reaction that is seen by a waiter.
I DO tell them I am allergic, because I really am - do you at least respect this allergy or should I never be allowed to eat out with friends again?
I understand some of what you say about people not liking stuff, but it is really an allergy (worse actually) for me.

Umm, actually, people can be allergic to coleslaw. I'm allergic to coleslaw. Or, more accurately, the cabbage in it. But if I order something that will include coleslaw on my plate, I'll just eat around it. It's never just lumped on top of the other food it comes with. I have a friend who lies about being allergic to onions, and it pisses me off. There's a difference between "don't like" and "am allergic". Lying about an allergy just makes it harder for people with real allergies to be taken seriously...

A girl was on a date. She was eating chips and salsa while trying to figure out what she wanted to have for dinner. When I checked on them she told me " I would like the burger but no onions. I'm HIGHLY allergic to them". I then responded with "oh no, you should probably get to a hospital because you ate all that salsa which contains onion!!" The reality was she just didnt want stinky onion breath on her date. So she ended up looking stupid instead.

Actually, I find you annoying!!! I actually am allergic to MSG, Cherries, artificial sweetener, and a few other things. My throat will actually swell up if I even come near these foods. I do my best not to order foods that do not contain any of my allergies but sometimes I have to change or take something off of my plate. I know it can be aggravating but that is how it is. I have been a waitress before and I did not mind changing an order or accommodating someone with allergies. I do not believe you should be a waiter or even work in this profession.

You are not suited to be a waiter. You are more annoying than you say your customers are. You are abusive and rude to children. You should never call a child the names you call them and you should not react in an abusive way to children.

You should not tell anyone that they are eating something they are not eating. You should be FIRED from your job and be banned from being a waiter any where in this country!

I do hope that one day you are treated the way that you treat others and I also hope that you will be treated exactly in the way you want to treat others. I also hope you never have children but if you do, then do the decent thing and give them up for adoption to a family who will love and treasure children the way they should be treated.

I also hope that carma gives you hell and you realize just how cruel, obnoxious, of a person you are....... I hope you get fired, and have to grow up and realize how blessed you were to have a job and realize how much of a jerk you were and that is why you have lost your job. Maybe you will become homeless, and so poor that you would be happy to have a job. Because at this point you should not look down through your over sized arrogant nose at others and realize you are scum off the bottom of the people you SERVE shoes. I believe that being a waiter/waitress can be a Nobel profession just as any other job can be unless you reduce yourself to being scum! And believe me you have reduced yourself to scum. Grow up and learn how to your job without being a pain in the butt. Or quit your job and find a job somewhere where the sight of you will not make every one around you want to puke when in your presence... May God have mercy on all the people who have to put up with someone like you and your big headed arrogant self!!!!

In reference to the comment above: SHUT UP already! If you don't want to read the blog or you think that he is such a horrible person, leave! Plain and simple. No one is forcing you to read this blog and no one wants to read your rants as long as novels in the comment section. You are probably the customer who acts out like the ones he writes about.
For the record, I would post with a user name but I don't have one. That's the only reason my comment is marked as anonymous, not because I am cowering in a corner somewhere afraid to speak my mind.

I am complicated, I have gotten sick off of multiple tree nuts in multiple states so I say I am allergic. Never had it proven by a legal source, just stopped and avoid(ed) nuts in general (peanuts don't bother me until overdose such as the nut isle supermarkets). I just rather avoid the mess...and I assume any other server would prefer to as well.

All I'm saying is this... If your allergies are so ridiculous , that you require very specific, individual attention, or you will get very sick and/or die... Why on Earth would you trust strangers to prepare and serve you food? Eat at home. Don't take life threatening chances on something you very easily could have done yourself....

To be that person, I'm /actually/ allergic to coleslaw... or at least the dressing used at Cracker Barrel restaurants. Everywhere it touches my skin I get horrible itchy rashes and like hell will I even ingest the stuff.

Outside of that, some people just like airing out their medial issues, real or not, so that they can be a special snowflake. Just remember, and it's a good mantra, 'the tip will be worth it.'

Just swinging by to say that coleslaw allergy is real. It's cabbage and carrots for me. Many veggies (that I actually find delicious) often contain pollen that is what I'm *actually* allergic to. Unfortunately, it remains in the food even if it's cooked.

It's not necessarily life threatening, but I do get fairly intense chest pains and a bit of difficulty breathing.
