"Dead" Waiter Wakes Up at Own Funeral

Some people will do anything to get out of doing their side work. Even play dead.

Because graves were opened with the evidence that the "deceased" had really been alive and had clawed at the interior of the casket, embalming was more easily accepted. People wanted to be sure they did not "wake up" buried alive.
