Oh it's so early for me to be up. How do people wake up at the crack of ass to serve breakfast? Not being a morning person (or afternoon person and not so much of a night person either) getting up before 7:30 AM is one tough cookie. My alarm went off this morrow at precisely 7:30 AM so that I could get to my job o' the day which is selling jewelry at a Gift Fair. (Don't ask, but I will be selling pottery for the next four days...). When I venture out my door at this ungodly hour what shall I see? Milkmen and paper delivery boys? Roosters walking around saying, "cock a doodle doo, bitch, it's early" and farmers off to milk cows? Will the air be fresher as the gentle fresh breeze of the new day whispers sweet nothings to me? Will I finally meet the morning shift of homeless people? Will I get a seat on the goddamn 7 train? I dunno what the world is like at this time.
I lived with a friend (hey Kimmy!) who used to serve the early breakfast shift every day. She rolled her ass outta bed at something like 4:30 every morning. The only good thing about it was she was done with work at 11:00 right when I was waking up and it always made me so jealous. And then the tables turned around at night when it was only 8:00 and she was having to go to bed before Melrose Place (the original one with Dr. Kimberly Shaw) even started. Life ain't easy for us mornin' risers. It just ain't. And what time did you get your ass up today?

i'm up at 5 every morning and at work by 6:30. no customer service whatsoever though and i get to dress like a bum because we work with messy stuff. out by 3, can't beat it.
i still stay up past midnight sometimes but i'm getting too old for that.
I used to work at a coffee shop (not starbucks) and we opened at 6 and was done by 2. I loved it - it was my fave job! I made $8 an hour plus (crappy) tips.
It's Saturday, so today is my day for a lie in.
Except I have 3 boys under 9 so Saturday is the ONE day of the week that they are up at 7.
Lil' basterds. They do that to me every week.
I work a 4 am till 12:30pm shift. I have a nap in the afternoon and head to bed around 10 pm. Its the best shift ever.
There is no acceptable reason to be up before 10 AM. EVER.
Unfortunately, my boss strongly disagrees.
I am SO NOT an early riser. But on the occsaaion that I do, I find it peaceful and I have a new attitude about the sunrise people. I have worked all sorts of shifts being a nurse and find that I enjoyed the swing shift thing a lot, you get to mix it all up, except that it's so hard on you physically.
I do love staying up late enough to see the sun come up, then off to bed. Hmmm . . . does that make me part vampire?
11:30 AM
I just got up, 10:30. Fuck yeah.
I get up when the Ambien wears off. I'm dedicated that way.
How many daggone jobs do you have?
why did you take down the vlogs? I liked them!
being a night person for more than 3 years, I am used to locking the bar at 7 am or later and then, all us unable to get to sleep after a rough night heading to some hotel for breakfasts and vodkas. In wintertime you practically do not see the ligt of day
near noon. consider me out of work and out of school
Ah, the dreaded ketchup bottles- how I hate thee. Seriously, how nasty is it to consolidate the ketchup into one bottle? Sidework has turned me off from using it on my ff.
Gosh I just hate mornings! I so struggle with this because I am a single parent of three.. for me I have to get up at least by 5am in order to get all of us up and out by 8am.
So hate it... I hit my snooze button a million times and always wait until the last possible minute to get up.
I'm a bit of a night creature and if I had my way there would be no way I would ever be up before 11:00am. Some dumbshit who invented office hours sort of effed that one up for me though. It sucked like hell when I had to rejoin the worker bee business hours the other day but alas dosh is a major motivator in my book.

Best job ever: in college I worked as a telephone operator - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift. Then went out. Then sleep, and back at work at 3:00!!! Those were the days, my friend....
I guess I'm giving away my age - too bad there's no such thing as a pay phone or a telephone operator call center based in the US anymore....LOL
I wake up every single day at 4:30 & 5:30.
Without an alarm clock.
Even on my days off.
20 years of living with someone who rolled out of bed at 5 to be at work by 6 has made me alarm clock proofed.
I get up around noon, most days. Other days, I will (literally) slide out of bed around 2 pm.
Don't hate, I go to school online, don't have kids (well except my husband) and he goes to work in the evening so I'm on his schedule.
That's my life :)
Tomorrow I have to get up at the ungodly hour of 6:15AM. There shouldn't even BE a 6:15AM (unless of course you're still out from the night before).
I get up at 4:00 a.m., get to the cafe at 5:00 a.m., and start serving the custies at 6:00 a.m.
I am neither a morning person nor a people person, but somehow I have succeeded in convincing my regulars (and most of my co-workers) that I am both of these things.
I had to work really hard at changing my sleep schedule, so it pisses me off when I'm already 3/4 of the way through my workday and customers and co-workers come stumbling in, bitching about the bright sun and how "early" it is, as if they deserve an award for being out of bed before noon.
Now, I give you special license to bitch about being up at 7:30 a.m. or whatever. Anything that makes you bitch makes me happy, after all.
